Alhassan Sahanuni

Alhassan Sahanuni is an award winning Agri-business and Organisation Development Specialist with a Masters Degree and certification in Organisation Development. He is currently the Programmes Officer at ACDEP dedicated to the Farmerline Commercial Agriculture for Smallholders and Agribusiness Technical Assistance Facility (CASA-TAF) project.

Mr. Sahanuni has been with ACDEP since 2010 when he first joined as the Farmer-based Organisation Development Officer under the USAID/Ghana ADVANCE project. He has since then performed many roles including the Regional Programme Officer, Commodity Value Chain Lead, Community training Coordinator and the role of Regional Manager for the ACDEP Kintampo Office in 2019. He has also provided short term technical roles such as M&E in USAID/ADVANCE and a Crop Specialist for the CHF-ACDEP RESULT project.

In his current role, he has worked closely with smallholder farmers in deprived areas in both Northern and Southern Ghana to build their capacity to transform farming into a viable and sustainable business. He has personally trained over 5000 smallholder farmers, largely women smallholders who work in groups to earn a decent living out of subsistence farming.

Mr. Sahanuni is a proud mentor to young people in the field of agriculture and organisation development.
